2024-2025 TV Renewals & Cancellations: What’s Staying and What’s Going!

As networks finalize their programming decisions, Us Weekly will keep you updated on which TV shows have been renewed and which have been canceled for the 2024-2025 season.

Renewed:

Slow Horses became the first show to score a renewal in 2024. In early January, Apple TV+ announced it had picked up the series for a fifth season, which will be based on Mick Herron’s spy novel London Rules. The show, which premiered in 2022, follows a group of dysfunctional British intelligence agents assigned to mundane tasks at the Slough House. Slow Horses stars Gary Oldman, Kristin Scott Thomas, Jack Lowden, and Christopher Chung.

Canceled:

Minx faced an unfortunate turn of events with its second cancellation. Originally renewed for a second season by Max in May 2022, the network reversed its decision by the end of the year. Although Starz picked up the show and aired season 2 in July 2023, it chose not to order a third season. Before the cancellation was confirmed in January, Jake Johnson had hinted at the show’s bleak prospects. “By evidence of me cutting my hair short, I don’t [expect a renewal],” Johnson told Deadline in December 2023, describing the series’ fate as “unfortunate” and citing the difficulties faced by the show, including its move to Starz and the impact of the strike on its promotion.

Stay tuned as Us Weekly continues to track the status of your favorite series for the 2024-2025 TV season.
