Blue Bloods Star Dylan Walsh Joins SEAL Team—Big News!

SEAL Team spoilers ahead.

Dylan Walsh, known for his role on Blue Bloods, is joining the cast of SEAL Team for its final season. The series, starring David Boreanaz as Jason Hayes, follows the elite Navy SEAL unit Bravo Team through intense training and high-stakes missions.

According to Deadline, Walsh will portray Captain Walch, a recently appointed Commanding Officer of the Naval Special Warfare Development Group. Walch is described as “by the book” but also politically minded, potentially driven by personal ambition as he navigates decisions affecting the Bravo Team.

The final season will also feature the return of stars Max Thieriot (Bates Motel), AJ Buckley (Supernatural), Neil Brown Jr. (The Walking Dead), Jessica Paré (Mad Men), and Judd Lormand (American Horror Story). After moving from CBS to Paramount+ for its sixth season—a shortened 10-episode run—the series faced uncertainty but has now been confirmed for a seventh and final season.

The new season will start production in December 2023 and is expected to air in 2024. Lead actor David Boreanaz expressed gratitude and excitement for the upcoming season in a recent Instagram statement, acknowledging the show’s dedicated fanbase and crew.

SEAL Team streams on Paramount+ in the US, with UK fans able to catch it on Sky.
