NCIS Drama Unfolds: Sean Murray’s Divorce Filing Reveals Shocking Custody Battle with Wife! Click for the Latest Updates!

Following the news confirmed by PEOPLE on April 18, Sean Murray has responded to his wife Carrie James Murray’s divorce filing. In his counter-filing obtained by the publication, the NCIS star has requested joint physical and legal custody of their minor children, Caitlyn, 16, and River, 13, in contrast to Carrie’s initial request for sole physical and joint legal custody.

Additionally, Sean has proposed that both parties cover their respective attorney fees, diverging from Carrie’s petition which sought for the actor to assume her fees.

The couple, who announced their divorce after 18 years of marriage, first met at a Halloween party in 2004, eventually tying the knot in November 2005. They welcomed their daughter, Caitlyn, in 2007, followed by their son, River, in 2010. Despite their separation, their divorce comes after commemorating their 18th wedding anniversary in November 2023, with Carrie sharing heartfelt sentiments and nostalgic photos on Instagram.

In a reflective post, Carrie expressed gratitude for their enduring partnership, acknowledging Sean’s gestures of chivalry and humor throughout their relationship. Meanwhile, Sean, reflecting on the milestone of NCIS reaching its 1,000th episode, emphasized the unpredictability of the show’s trajectory, underscoring the uncertainty surrounding his own future with the franchise despite his longstanding tenure.
