Pauley Perrette, born on March 27, 1969, in New Orleans, grew up in the Southern United States. She pursued studies in criminal justice at Valdosta State University and later at John Jay College in New York City. Her diverse career spanned television, film, commercials, voice-over work, music videos, and short films.

Perrette gained fame for her role as Abby Sciuto, a quirky forensic scientist, on ‘NCIS,’ a role she started in 2003. She also made appearances on ‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ and ‘NCIS: New Orleans.’ Beyond acting, she is recognized as a poet, author, photographer, and spoken word artist, with a strong commitment to civil rights activism. Her musical contributions include the track ‘Fear’ for the ‘NCIS’ soundtrack.

Personal challenges marked Perrette’s life, including a tumultuous marriage to Canadian actor Coyote Shivers, which ended in 2006 amid domestic abuse allegations. In 2015, she was assaulted by a homeless man, and in 2019, she left ‘NCIS’ due to on-set issues. Following her departure, she starred in the CBS sitcom ‘Broke’ in 2020.

In July 2020, Perrette announced her retirement from acting, expressing gratitude for life’s experiences and the support of her loved ones. Her journey remains a testament to resilience and artistic versatility in the entertainment industry.
