Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo have reunited with original NCIS actor Sasha Alexander ahead of their upcoming spinoff, NCIS: Tony & Ziva. Despite the recent cancellation of NCIS: Hawai’i, the NCIS universe continues to expand with new spinoffs in development. NCIS: Tony & Ziva will feature Weatherly and de Pablo reprising their beloved roles as Tony DiNozzo and Ziva David, streaming exclusively on Paramount+ rather than airing on CBS.
In preparation for their return, Weatherly and de Pablo are hosting a rewatch podcast titled “Off Duty: An NCIS Rewatch.” Recently, Sasha Alexander made an appearance on the podcast, and the trio shared heartwarming reunion photos on Alexander’s Instagram.
The podcast showcases Weatherly and de Pablo discussing the series with various guests who have been part of the franchise, past and present.

Nearly two decades after Kate Todd’s tragic death in the NCIS Season 2 finale, her character was reintroduced in the 1000th episode using archive footage. Despite this, there remains potential for Sasha Alexander to return.
NCIS has a history of bringing back Alexander post-Kate’s death. Following Ari’s killing of Kate, Alexander appeared in the first two episodes of Season 3 as visions. She could potentially reprise her role in a hallucinatory capacity if NCIS Season 22 decides to explore this storyline.
Moreover, Alexander might contribute in other ways, such as directing episodes of NCIS: Tony & Ziva. She previously directed an episode of Michael Weatherly’s Bull and maintains a positive relationship with Cote de Pablo. If she directs for the spinoff, it would mark her first official involvement with NCIS since departing the show.
