Sean Murray and Carrie James: A Look Back at Their Relationship Amid Divorce Rumors!

Sean Murray, the star of NCIS, and his wife Carrie James are divorcing after 18 years of marriage. The couple reportedly separated in March 2024, with Carrie citing “irreconcilable differences” and seeking exclusive physical custody and joint legal custody of their children.

The Early Days and Engagement

Sean and Carrie’s love story began at a Halloween party in 2004. Their whirlwind romance led to an engagement less than a year later, shortly after they moved in together. Carrie playfully revealed on The Wedding Dish podcast that she nudged Sean to propose by asking, “What are we doing? What’s going on?” Following a casual proposal at home, the couple officially got engaged in August 2005.

Wedding and Family

The couple tied the knot just three months later, holding a winter ceremony at Lakeside Golf Club in Burbank, California, around Thanksgiving to celebrate their anniversary each year. They welcomed two children: a daughter, Caitlyn, in 2007, and a son, River, in 2010. While expecting River, they purchased a home in Southern California, dedicating ten years to its renovation. In a 2021 interview with People, Sean emphasized the importance of “putting roots down,” reflecting on his own upbringing in a mobile household.
