Discussions about a potential spinoff began in July 2024, when Paramount co-CEO Brian Robbins indicated that one was in development. However, there was no official confirmation from CBS or Paramount, leaving fans speculating about what a potential spinoff might look like and whether it could capture the original series’ success.
Despite Blue Bloods regularly performing well in its Friday timeslot—traditionally a low viewership slot—CBS confirmed plans to cancel the show.
