NCIS: Hawaii Season 4 Canceled—Fans Are Devastated!

Hey, NCIS: Hawaii fans! We hope you enjoyed every moment of tonight’s Episode 10, as it marks the end of the line for the series. Yes, you heard it right—this episode is not only the season 3 finale but also the series finale. It came as a surprise, but unfortunately, it’s true.

CBS has a packed lineup of shows, resulting in stiff competition for viewer attention. They are also committed to new NCIS spin-offs, including the Tony & Ziva series, a prequel titled NCIS: Origins featuring a young Gibbs, and the second season of NCIS: Sydney. With all these developments, NCIS: Hawaii found itself as a casualty in a crowded landscape.

According to Nielsen ratings, NCIS: Hawaii season 3 averaged 5.216 million live viewers per episode, with a ratings score of 0.35 in the 18-49 demographic. The most recent Episode 9, which aired on April 29, 2024, attracted 5.066 million live viewers and scored 0.32.

As reported by Deadline.com, the cancellation likely stemmed from CBS’s commitment to a number of new projects, forcing them to make the tough decision to let NCIS: Hawaii go. Although it had decent ratings and viewership, it simply couldn’t compete with the network’s higher-performing shows.

The premiere episode drew the largest audience, with 5.555 million live viewers, while Episode 5 saw the lowest, at 4.821 million. Episode 3 boasted the highest rating, achieving a score of 0.41, while Episode 5 received the lowest at 0.30. Overall, while NCIS: Hawaii performed well, other shows outshined it.

So, here’s to NCIS: Hawaii—you will be missed. That’s all for this NCIS: Hawaii report, but be sure to stay tuned for updates on other TV shows!
