Blue Bloods: A Powerful Farewell to the Reagan Family!

The Blue Bloods finale is gearing up for an unforgettable send-off, with its final episodes set to begin airing on October 18 on CBS. Entertainment Weekly has just dropped an exclusive trailer that offers a sneak peek into the emotional and action-packed moments awaiting fans in this concluding chapter.

The trailer opens with a nostalgic tribute to the show’s remarkable 14-season journey, featuring quick glimpses of beloved moments — from weddings and family reunions to intense arrests. As Frank Reagan (Tom Selleck) addresses a new class of NYPD officers, he declares, “It is with great pride and gratitude that I welcome you to serve and protect the most vibrant city in the world.”

Amid these stirring scenes, the main characters reflect on what drives them. “Being a good detective is about catching bad guys, reuniting families, and doing research,” says Danny Reagan (Donnie Wahlberg). Erin Reagan (Bridget Moynahan) confidently affirms, “I became a natural, and I’m really good at it.” Jamie Reagan (Will Estes) adds, “Actually, I always wanted to be a cop.” And Frank brings it home, saying, “When you have the people you love, you have everything, and for that, you should be grateful.”

Tension rises as Mayor Peter Chase (Dylan Walsh) appears in a hospital press conference, delivering a veiled threat to the Reagans’ eco-initiative, saying, “Our city has…” The strain between Frank and Chase is evident as Frank faces a dilemma: “Out there, I’m going to have to tell a thousand New York cops, ‘You can’t do your job.’” When his family presses him on what he’ll do, Frank replies solemnly, “Hope is the right thing to do.”

In a powerful scene, an inmate (Edward James Olmos) confronts Frank in his office, challenging his sense of justice: “Look at the frame. You think you’re a good guy?”

More chaos ensues when Erin is shockingly arrested in her office. “Erin Reagan, you have the right to remain silent,” announces Queens District Attorney Evaline Romano (Debi Mazar), as Erin breaks down: “I don’t know what I’d do if I lost my license.”

Meanwhile, Danny faces his own peril during a heated arrest. Frank staunchly defends him, declaring, “My son is an excellent cop and a family man.” But Grace (Lori Loughlin) raises doubts, remarking, “He’s also part of New York’s most famous police family and is known for his fiery temper.” An emotional Danny confides in his grandfather Henry (Len Cariou): “This is getting too personal.”

The trailer then cuts to intense action scenes, showing each character embroiled in high-stakes crime-fighting missions. With a mix of emotion, suspense, and action, the final episodes promise to deliver a fitting farewell to the Reagan family and the show’s loyal fanbase.
