Blue Bloods has officially wrapped filming, marking the end of an era for the cast and crew. Staying true to his steadfast character, NYPD Commissioner Frank Reagan, Tom Selleck chose the perfect words to honor the moment.
In an interview with TV Insider, Tom shared insights about the last scene of the series and how he commemorated it. My final scene was, ironically, a family dinner; it was also the first scene I shot 15 years ago, he revealed. I can’t share everything about the last episode, but the family dinner brings the Reagan family together. Erin’s daughter Nicky (Sami Gayle) and Jack (Tony Terraciano), Danny’s older son, were there. Everyone agreed to close the set for that moment and keep it private. Most of the cast had four more days of shooting, but I didn’t.
