NCIS: LA’s Eric Christian Olsen Drops Major Hint About Tony and Ziva – Fans Are Losing It!

With NCIS continuing to be a strong success for CBS, fans are gearing up for a new spin-off, NCIS: Tony & Ziva, which reunites Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo as their beloved characters on the run across Europe with their tween daughter. While there’s been no confirmation of other NCIS stars joining the cast, NCIS: LA’s Eric Christian Olsen has been stirring excitement with his interest in joining the action.

Production for Tony & Ziva began over the summer, with Weatherly sharing glimpses from the set on social media. Last month, he posted an Instagram photo featuring himself and writer John McNamara against a desert backdrop, complete with camels. Olsen, who played Marty Deeks on NCIS: LA, jumped into the comments, playfully asking, “How am I not on this show?”

Olsen’s comment is hardly the first time he’s hinted at wanting to return. Last year, he suggested Deeks would be perfect for NCIS: Sydney, pointing out in a comment that “Deeks loves surfing and Oz has great waves…” Although he didn’t make it onto Sydney’s first season, the door isn’t completely closed as Season 2 rolls out next year.

With NCIS alumni like LL Cool J returning as Sam Hanna in NCIS: Hawai’i and Daniela Ruah making a video appearance as Kensi Blye in the 1,000th NCIS episode, fans hope that Olsen could be next in line. Weatherly even humorously replied to Olsen’s comment, saying, “Easy Tiger—if #deadpoolandwolverine taught us anything, it’s…You will be better at the next retort.”

If Deeks were to appear on Tony & Ziva, it would make sense for him to connect via video chat, though it wouldn’t be impossible for him to have a storyline bringing him to Europe. Fans would love to see Deeks team up with Tony and Ziva, even if just for a cameo.
