Michael Weatherly Seeks Fan Input for Potential NCIS Spin-Off Title
Michael Weatherly, known for his role as Tony DiNozzo on NCIS, is engaging fans in a unique way as he explores the possibility of a new spin-off. Taking to Twitter/X, Weatherly shared a photo with former co-star Cote de Pablo, who played Ziva David, and hinted at an upcoming project. In his post, Weatherly teased that he is preparing to announce the title for a new show and asked fans for their creative suggestions.
“Getting ready to announce the title of our new show… NCIS: Something … I’d love to hear what you think it might be,” Weatherly wrote, inviting fans to contribute their ideas.
One enthusiastic fan suggested, “NCIS: WE’VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS FOR 8 YEARS!” To which Weatherly responded with, “Too long.” Among the suggestions, Weatherly seemed to favor “NCIS: Beyond,” a title also preferred by his daughters.
In related NCIS news, the spin-off NCIS: Hawai’i was recently canceled after three seasons, leaving fans and star Vanessa Lachey stunned. On her Instagram Story, Lachey expressed her deep disappointment, saying she felt “blindsided” and “gutted” by the cancellation.
NCIS airs on CBS in the US, with Seasons 1-20 available for streaming on Disney+ in the UK.
