Known for his iconic portrayal of Leroy Jethro Gibbs on the CBS crime drama, the 72-year-old actor opted for a laid-back look during his grocery run amid a major heatwave. Harmon sported a red button-down shirt, dark-colored shorts, and flip-flops, with his shaggy gray hair giving him a casual, relaxed vibe. He was spotted carrying something in his hand as he navigated the sunny streets solo, heading to the celebrity-favorite Erehwon Market.
Harmon’s sighting comes just days before Disney confirmed his casting in Freaky Friday 2. The studio also released the first behind-the-scenes photo from the set on Monday, featuring Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis. The image shows the two actresses, who are reprising their roles as Anna and Tess Coleman, sitting in front of their trailers holding hands. Jamie, 65, flashes a rock-and-roll gesture while Lindsay, 37, smiles warmly, hinting at the fun energy surrounding the sequel’s production.
Although plot details remain scarce, it’s been revealed that Anna will have a daughter and a soon-to-be stepdaughter in the film. The official synopsis teases, “Tess and Anna discover that lightning might indeed strike twice.” Fans can expect the movie to hit theaters in 2025. The original Freaky Friday, released in 2003, was a major hit, grossing $160 million worldwide.
In addition to Harmon, other original stars returning for the sequel include Chad Michael Murray, Christina Vidal Mitchell, Haley Hudson, Lucille Soong, Steven Tobolowsky, and Rosalind Chao. New cast members joining the project are Julia Butters, Manny Jacinto, Mira Rajput, Krishan Chauhan, and Sophia Hammond.
