Breaking: Austin Stowell Cast as Young Gibbs in NCIS Prequel!

CBS has cast Austin Stowell as the young Leroy Jethro Gibbs in the upcoming prequel series NCIS: Origins, set to premiere in the 2024-2025 season. The series will explore Gibbs’ early years, focusing on his initial experiences as a budding special agent in 1991, long before the events of the original NCIS. Mark Harmon, who portrayed Gibbs for 19 seasons, will serve as an executive producer and narrator, while his son, Sean Harmon, will join as a producer.

NCIS: Origins will follow Gibbs’ journey as he begins his career at the NIS Camp Pendleton office, guided by the esteemed NCIS figure Mike Franks. The show promises to reveal new dimensions of Gibbs’ backstory, offering fresh insights for even the most devoted fans of the franchise.

In addition to Origins, a new spinoff featuring Tony and Ziva’s adventures across Europe will be available on Paramount+. With NCIS celebrating its 1,000th episode milestone in April, anticipation is high for these exciting new additions to the franchise.

Is Austin Stowell the right choice for Young Gibbs in NCIS: Origins? Yes! No!
