NCIS Future Revealed: Shocking News After Season 21!

CBS has officially renewed the long-running procedural drama NCIS for its 22nd season. Currently airing its 21st season, NCIS continues to be a cornerstone of CBS’s programming lineup, alongside the comedy series The Neighbourhood, which has also been renewed for a seventh season. Amy Reisenbach, the president of CBS Entertainment, praised both shows, highlighting their authentic storytelling and strong focus on heart, humor, and family dynamics.

Despite the show’s success, NCIS star Sean Murray, who plays Special Agent Timothy McGee, recently shared his uncertainty about the future, noting that no character is ever completely safe on the series. Murray, who has been with the show for 21 years, expressed his deep appreciation for being part of the show while acknowledging the unpredictable nature of television.

The NCIS franchise continues to thrive, with the original series joined by spin-offs like NCIS: Sydney, which was recently renewed for a second season. Additionally, the franchise is set to celebrate a significant milestone next week with the airing of its 1,000th episode. This special crossover event will feature characters from NCIS: Hawai’i and NCIS: Los Angeles, although the characters will not interact in person.

NCIS is available on CBS in the US, while viewers in the UK can stream seasons 1-20 on Disney+, with season 21 currently available on the platform.
