NCIS Star Arrested on Multiple Shocking Assault Charges!

Gabriel Olds, an actor known for his roles on NCIS: Los Angeles and The Eyes of Tammy Faye, has been arrested and charged in connection with a series of sexual assaults in Los Angeles. The 52-year-old was apprehended on August 7 in Crestwood Hills after the Los Angeles Police Department charged him with multiple felony counts. Olds was held on a $3.5 million bond.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office filed seven felony charges against Olds on July 19. These include three counts of forcible rape, one count of rape of an unconscious or sleeping person, one count of sodomy by force, one count of assault with intent to commit a felony, and one count of injuring a spouse, cohabitant, fiancé, boyfriend, girlfriend, or child’s parent. Following these charges, the Los Angeles Superior Court issued a warrant for his arrest, which was executed in early August.

The charges stem from a police investigation initiated by a 41-year-old woman’s report that Olds allegedly raped her in her Los Angeles home in 2023. After her report, two additional victims came forward with allegations of separate assaults dating back to 2013.

Detective Brent Hopkins from the Special Assault Section described the pattern of these attacks as starting with consensual interactions that quickly escalated into violent assaults. “We heard the same story repeatedly,” Hopkins said. “Mr. Olds began as charming but turned to brutal violence to commit these rapes.”

Olds, an Ivy League graduate and Hollywood actor, allegedly used his status to arrange meetings with his victims. Originally from New York, he attended Yale University before launching his acting career in the 1990s, making appearances on shows such as Law & Order, Party of Five, and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. His most prominent role was portraying televangelist Pat Robertson in the 2021 film The Eyes of Tammy Faye, which earned Jessica Chastain an Oscar for her performance.

According to the LAPD, Olds used unnamed dating apps to connect with his victims, leveraging his film and television background to create a false sense of security before committing the assaults.

The LAPD has not ruled out the possibility of further charges against Olds and has been in contact with two additional potential victims. Given Olds’ extensive travel history due to his acting career, police believe there could be more victims beyond Los Angeles. Authorities are urging the public to come forward with any information that could assist in the ongoing investigation.

As of August 9, there have been no updates on Olds’ plea or court proceedings. If convicted, he faces a maximum sentence of life in prison.
