Sasha Alexander: Life After NCIS
Sasha Alexander, best known for her role as Agent Kate Todd on NCIS, has continued to shine in various roles across television and film since her departure from the show. Kate Todd was a pivotal character on NCIS until her shocking exit in the second season, when she was killed by double-agent Ari Haswari, with his half-sister Ziva David later avenging her death.
Following her time on NCIS, Alexander has showcased her versatility in a variety of projects. Her film credits include notable titles such as Lucky 13, Yes Man, The Ride, He’s Just Not That Into You, and Mission: Impossible III. She has also made memorable appearances in Friends and FBI.
Alexander’s most prominent role post-NCIS was as Maura Isles on the popular series Rizzoli & Isles, where she starred for six seasons. Additionally, she portrayed Helene Runyon in the SAG Award-winning series Shameless.
In recent years, Sasha has continued to expand her horizons. She voiced Adeline in the animated film Deathstroke: Knights and Dragons and starred in the thriller Dangerous Lies. She also made a guest appearance on Law & Order.
On the personal front, Sasha is married to Edoardo Ponti, whom she met at USC’s film school. The couple wed in 2007 and have two children: Lucia Sofia Ponti and Leonardo Fortunato Ponti. Sasha is also the daughter-in-law of the legendary Italian actress Sophia Loren, who is Edoardo’s mother from her marriage to Carlo Ponti.
In May, Sasha celebrated her 50th birthday with loved ones in Paris, marking another milestone in her remarkable career and life.
