NCIS Fans, Don’t Miss This New Must-Listen Podcast!

Paramount Announces New “48 Hours: NCIS” Podcast – A Deep Dive into Real-Life Cases

Exciting news for NCIS fans! Paramount has unveiled a new podcast series merging the popular 48 HOURS with the NCIS universe, offering an engaging new way to explore real-life cases faced by the actual NCIS agency.

“I can’t think of a better way to showcase the power of Paramount’s IP than by crossing over two of CBS’ most successful franchises to create new, original digital content,” said Steve Raizes, Paramount Global’s Executive Vice President of podcasting and audio. “We are beyond thrilled to be in a position to bring NCIS fans a deep dive into the real cases investigated on the iconic TV show, and the 48 HOURS audience even more premium storytelling aligned with what they expect from the brand.”

The first episode of “48 Hours: NCIS” will focus on the disappearance of Erin Corwin, the wife of a marine who went missing in Joshua Tree National Park. According to Hidden Remote, “She was 19 years old and it took two months for her body to be found. Investigators had traced the evidence to an abandoned mine. A Marine was suspected of the murder.”

Hosted by Natalie Morales, a veteran broadcast journalist and former host of THE TALK, this audio-only series promises to deliver compelling and in-depth storytelling. Morales, who joined CBS in 2021, has previously contributed to other 48 HOURS series iterations.

“Growing up in a military family, I am honored to be able to tell the stories of those who have and continue to serve our country, and to offer unique insights into the inner workings of the NCIS as they help solve cases,” Morales said. “Erin Corwin’s story as a newly pregnant, young military wife is especially heartbreaking. It took the dedication of many NCIS agents to help find her in difficult desert conditions and to solve the mystery of how she died and who was responsible.”

This isn’t the first time these two franchises have crossed paths. In 2017, a series of the same name was hosted by Rocky Carroll, who plays Director Leon Vance on NCIS. That series ran for three seasons and also covered Corwin’s case.

“48 Hours: NCIS” is set to debut on October 29.

In related NCIS news, Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo, stars of the upcoming show NCIS: TONY & ZIVA, have announced a new podcast based on the original NCIS series.

Titled “Off Duty: An NCIS Rewatch,” this podcast will release a new episode each week on Spotify, starting June 4. According to Parade, “On the weekly NCIS podcast, the fan favorites will rewatch, reminisce and reveal more from the popular TV series. And they won’t be alone. Joining them are present and past cast members Sean Murray, Sasha Alexander, Eric Christian Olsen, and Jon Cryer, to name a few of the guests that will be joining them to talk about their time on the series and the impact it has had on TV and pop culture.”

Weatherly posted a promo for the new podcast on Instagram, announcing the news. “Hi, I’m Michael Weatherly,” he said. “And I’m Cote de Pablo,” de Pablo joined in. “We played agents Tony DiNozzo and Ziva David on NCIS, one of the world’s biggest shows,” Weatherly said. “And now we’re doing a rewatch podcast,” de Pablo announced. “Watch and listen every Tuesday on Spotify.”

With these new podcast series, Paramount is offering fans an immersive way to revisit their favorite NCIS moments and explore real-life cases, ensuring the legacy of NCIS continues to captivate audiences in new and exciting ways.
