“I think you may know what time it is.”
NCIS star Wilmer Valderrama has shared an exciting update about the upcoming Season 22. In a video posted to his Instagram, Valderrama, who plays Special Agent Nick Torres, walked through the set’s car park, filled with huge trailers, and revealed that filming has begun.
“Alright, beautiful people,” he announced. “I think you may know what time it is. We’re officially back on the set of NCIS. Season 22 is a go. We’ve said ‘action’ already for a few days, and I’m just catching you up that your boy Nick is back!”
In a recent interview with People, Valderrama hinted that this season is going to be memorable. “The big conversation is how can we light some shit on fire this season? That’s what I want to do. I think it’s not going to be your casual, ‘Oh, your favorite team is in trouble.’ It’s going to be more personal, more soul-shattering. There’ll be some tragedy this season.”
However, it’s not all serious. Valderrama also teased potential romance on the horizon. “There will be perhaps some new flames. Perhaps Torres might be ready for love this season,” he said. “Who knows? That might be a conversation or may not be a conversation.”
He added that actor Gary Cole, who joined the show in its 19th season, will have some “really heavy lifting this season too. So that’ll be really fun to see him do that.”
NCIS airs on CBS in the US, and all 21 seasons are currently streaming on Disney+ in the UK.
