Tom Selleck, 79, Looks Unrecognizable in First Public Appearance Since Blue Bloods Axing!

From Broadway to the Big Screen: Will Hochman’s Journey to ‘Blue Bloods’

Before becoming Joe Hill, the newest member of the Reagan family on Blue Bloods, Will Hochman captivated audiences on Broadway in The Sound Inside alongside Mary-Louise Parker. Today, Hochman has traded his stage presence for a spot alongside Tom Selleck and Will Estes as a cop on the popular CBS series.

Will Hochman’s Early Career

Hochman’s acting career began in 2015 at the age of 23, featuring in minor on-screen roles and several short films. However, it wasn’t until his starring role on Broadway in 2019 that he truly made a name for himself. Over the next few years, Hochman booked roles in Lowlives (2017), Paterno (2018), and The Code (2019), culminating in his acclaimed performance in The Sound Inside.

“It was like lightning hit my tiny little apartment,” Hochman explained about his Broadway role. “It was the style of writing, the way Mary-Louise’s character described my character, the questions the story asked, the relationship—I just got all of it. I read this and thought, ‘This is the moment. This is my part.’ I’d never felt that before.”

Tom Selleck’s Life Post-‘Blue Bloods’

Acting legend Tom Selleck, known for his role on Blue Bloods, recently marked the end of the long-running TV cop drama by stepping out for a workout in California. The bearded 79-year-old sported an all-black ensemble as he headed to the gym in Thousand Oaks, making his first public appearance since the show wrapped its final episode in June.

Selleck has since relocated back to his California ranch with his wife, Jillie, after 14 years of commuting to and from the East Coast for filming. As he embraced his fitness routine, Selleck wore high-waisted shorts, a black T-shirt, and Brooks running shoes, pairing his trademark bushy mustache with a silver beard he has been growing for months.
