CBS Renews “NCIS: Sydney” for Season 2

CBS and Paramount+ Australia have officially greenlit a second season of “NCIS: Sydney,” marking a significant milestone for the franchise’s inaugural international spinoff. Premiering in November 2023, the series joins the esteemed “NCIS” family alongside “NCIS: Hawai’i,” “NCIS: Los Angeles,” and “NCIS: New Orleans.”

Set against the backdrop of escalating international tensions in the Indo-Pacific region, “NCIS: Sydney” follows a collaborative task force comprising U.S. NCIS agents and the Australian Federal Police. The ensemble cast includes Olivia Swann, Todd Lasance, Sean Sagar, Tuuli Narkle, Mavournee Hazel, and William McInnes.

Showrunner Morgan O’Neill, alongside executive producers Sara Richardson and Michele Bennett at Endemol Shine Australia, in collaboration with CBS Studios, leads the production. Paramount Global Content Distribution manages international distribution outside Australia.

Amy Reisenbach, president of CBS Entertainment, expressed enthusiasm for the global success of “NCIS: Sydney,” citing its popularity among American viewers and the allure of its Australian setting. She reaffirmed CBS’s commitment to bringing the show back for another season.
