Mark Harmon’s Epic Comeback Revealed – It’s Not What You Expected!

Mark Harmon is set to make a highly anticipated return to a beloved role, but it won’t be as Leroy Jethro Gibbs on NCIS. Instead, Harmon will reprise his character Ryan Coleman from the beloved family comedy Freaky Friday, which originally premiered in 2003.

After more than two decades since its debut, Disney has officially confirmed a sequel featuring lead stars Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis. On June 24, Disney shared a photo from the set, confirming that the sequel is slated for release in 2025.

Nisha Ganatra will direct the sequel, which will also see the return of original cast members Chad Michael Murray, Christina Vidal Mitchell, Haley Hudson, Lucille Soong, Stephen Tobolowsky, and Rosalind Chao. Joining them are new stars Manny Jacinto, Julia Butters, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, and Sophia Hammons.

Fans have expressed their excitement on social media, with one enthusiast proclaiming, “My 2025 is already made!” Despite departing NCIS after 19 seasons, Harmon remains closely connected to the NCIS family as an executive producer. He has also recently ventured into writing with his historical nonfiction book, Ghosts of Honolulu.

Reflecting on his career and upcoming projects in a conversation with People last year, Harmon highlighted the historical significance associated with NCIS’s origins.
