CBS Entertainment President Amy Reisenbach revealed the inner turmoil behind recent show cancellations, admitting to sleepless nights and tough decisions in a bid to refresh the network’s schedule. Speaking at the Banff World Media Festival, she empathized with disappointed fans as CBS bid farewell to shows like CSI: Vegas and NCIS: Hawai’i this spring. Despite NCIS: Hawai’i’s popularity, which ranked among CBS’s top dramas, the decisions were driven by future projections and opportunities for greater success.
Reisenbach emphasized the network’s commitment to keeping the schedule dynamic and cohesive, highlighting upcoming additions like NCIS: Origins and Kathy Bates’ Matlock. She reassured fans that, while saying goodbye to beloved shows is difficult, CBS is focused on creating opportunities for new and exciting content.
Don’t understand why you want to take CSI’S show off after all these years being so popular. A new show is a 50/50 chance just like the ones Lizabeth watched first show nothing after that didn’t like it. The commercials for Matlock I will not be watching that either. CBS has always been my go to station now looks like they are others that is going to get some actions. Please do not remove NCSI Hawaii and CSI Vegas
