Mariel Molino recently unveiled an image of her NCIS: Origins script on Instagram, revealing that the first episode is titled “Enter Sandman.” Molino plays a brand-new character in the NCIS franchise, Special Agent Lala Dominguez. She will work closely with co-star Austin Stowell, who is set to portray a younger version of Leroy Jethro Gibbs.
While it’s unlikely that Special Agent Lala Dominguez will call Gibbs “Boss” like DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly) did in the original NCIS series, the secrecy surrounding the drama leaves much to the imagination. Molino’s character, described by Deadline, is a former Marine navigating the male-dominated field of the 1990s with a steely resolve and a dark sense of humor. The storyline involves a tormented Leroy Jethro Gibbs joining her team, promising a dynamic and unpredictable relationship between these two enigmatic characters.
