NCIS Season 21 Finale Teases Tennant’s Thrilling Debut!

Instead of Jane permanently taking over Jessica Knight’s role, she could step in temporarily for Alden Parker as he recovers from his leg injury sustained in the Season 21 finale. Parker’s injury caused him to experience visions of a mysterious girl named Lily. Jane Tennant’s temporary assignment would also provide an ideal opportunity to resolve the cliffhanger from the NCIS: Hawai’i season finale, where Maggie Shaw (Julie White) unexpectedly appeared to speak with Jane.

During Jane’s tenure filling in for Parker, LL Cool J could temporarily assume Knight’s role. This arrangement would allow his character to address some unresolved issues with Tennant without permanently taking over. This short-term setup, lasting a few weeks, would give Parker time to recuperate and Knight the chance to decide if she prefers the East Coast. This brief storyline would see Jane and Sam Hanna revisiting their roles, introducing an intriguing twist for the main team.

Jane wouldn’t have to handle Maggie alone, as Sam Hanna would be readily available. This would provide a seamless continuation of their characters, albeit temporarily. If Jane decides not to relocate from Hawaii or if the timing isn’t right, it wouldn’t make sense for Hanna to join the MCRT on a permanent basis just yet. However, Hanna could be a fitting future replacement for Nick Torres if he opts to leave the show. After all, Torres stepped in when Michael Weatherly’s Tony DiNozzo departed from NCIS.
