Tony & Ziva Actors Reunite with Former NCIS Co-Star After 20 Years!

NCIS franchise stars Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo recently had a fun reunion with their former co-star Sasha Alexander, nearly two decades after Alexander’s character was killed off. Weatherly and de Pablo, who played Tony DiNozzo and Ziva David, are set to be the focus of an upcoming spinoff series slated for streaming on Paramount+. In addition to this new venture, the two have launched a rewatch podcast for NCIS, revisiting classic episodes of the show. This podcast led to Alexander being invited as a guest, and images of the reunion were shared on social media.

Alexander portrayed Kate Todd, a character whose death in the Season 2 finale in 2005 was a major shocker for the series. Her image was briefly shown in the 1000th episode of the NCIS franchise, which paid tribute to deceased characters from the past. Alexander later revealed that it was her decision to leave the show.

Another recent NCIS family reunion involved Pauley Perrette, who left the series six years ago, reuniting with NCIS actor Brian Dietzen (Jimmy Palmer) and Criminal Minds: Evolution star Kirsten Vangsness. The group shared reunion photos online, with Perrette joking, “NO CRIME WAS COMMITTED HERE!”

The NCIS franchise continues to thrive, with NCIS recently renewed for another season. The Australian spinoff, NCIS: Sydney, has also been renewed, and a prequel series, NCIS: Origins, is set to premiere this fall. Unfortunately, NCIS: Hawai’i was canceled. Meanwhile, production is about to start on the NCIS: Tony & Ziva series, which will be set in Europe.

“I expect intrigue, romance, the background of Europe. Impossible situations that will make our life very complicated, but, somehow, a little something about love,” de Pablo teased about the series.

A premiere date for NCIS: Tony & Ziva has not yet been announced.
