NCIS Bombshell: Agent Jessica Knight Exit Rumors Swirl!

CBS has greenlit a second season for NCIS: Sydney, with the show also set to return on Paramount+ Australia.

NCIS: Sydney, the franchise’s inaugural international spin-off, premiered on November 10, 2023, on Paramount+ Australia, followed by its U.S. debut on November 14, 2023, on CBS and Global in Canada. Its series premiere drew over 10.2 million viewers in the U.S., including an encore episode, making it the top new series of the fall and ranking third among new series for the 2023-2024 season, following Tracker and Elsbeth. The show averaged over 8 million viewers per episode across all platforms in the U.S.

Amy Reisenbach, president of CBS Entertainment, expressed, “The global influence of the NCIS franchise has only strengthened with NCIS: Sydney. American audiences have embraced the characters, distinct narratives, and the Australian backdrop. We are thrilled to renew the show for another season.”

Morgan O’Neill, executive producer and showrunner for Endemol Shine Australia, chimed in, saying, “We’re incredibly pleased with the response to the first season and eager to delve deeper into the lives of our core team. The upcoming season will challenge the bonds of our team as they confront an even more formidable adversary.”

The ensemble cast includes Olivia Swann, Todd Lasance, Sean Sagar, Tuuli Narkle, Mavournee Hazel, and William McInnes. Produced by CBS Studios and Paramount Australia in collaboration with Endemol Shine Australia, the series is distributed globally by Paramount Global Content Distribution. Executive producers include Morgan O’Neill, Sara Richardson, and Michele Bennett.
