Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo Reunite for New Projects
NCIS stars Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo, known for their roles as Tony DiNozzo and Ziva David, are reuniting for two exciting projects ahead of their highly anticipated spin-off series.
In February, it was announced that the actors would star in an NCIS spin-off set in Europe, which will start filming in Budapest later this year. The series follows Tony, Ziva, and their daughter Tali as they go on the run across Europe after Tony’s security firm is attacked. The couple must learn to trust each other again to find out who is responsible for the attack and to achieve their unconventional happily ever after. Weatherly and de Pablo will also executive produce the series alongside Laurie Lieser, Christina Strain, Shelley Meals, and showrunner John McNamara.
Before diving into the spin-off, Weatherly and de Pablo will launch a Spotify video podcast titled Off Duty: An NCIS Rewatch on June 4. This podcast will feature the duo re-watching iconic NCIS episodes and sharing behind-the-scenes moments with special guests. Confirmed guests include Sean Murray (Special Agent Tim McGee), Brian Dietzen (Dr. Jimmy Palmer), and Sasha Alexander (Special Agent Caitlin Todd). Additional appearances will be made by Jon Cryer, who guest-starred as Dr. Cyril Taft in season 13, as well as Eric Christian Olsen and Daniela Ruah from NCIS: Los Angeles.
These projects promise to bring back cherished memories for fans and provide fresh content as they await the new spin-off series. NCIS continues to air on CBS in the US, with seasons 1-20 available for streaming on Disney+ in the UK.
