“NCIS: Los Angeles Star Daniela Ruah Takes on Directorial Role in NCIS Universe!”
Daniela Ruah, renowned for her portrayal of Kensi Blye in “NCIS: Los Angeles,” is poised for a triumphant return to the NCIS universe, this time from behind the camera. Following the conclusion of the spin-off last year, Ruah is set to helm an episode of the flagship NCIS series airing this month, as well as an upcoming episode of “NCIS: Hawai’i” scheduled for April.
Expressing her elation, Ruah shared, “Kensi was brought to life on NCIS 15 years ago, so to step onto that set again, this time as a director, alongside that remarkable cast and crew, is an absolute honor.” She continued, “Seeing so many familiar faces and being embraced by those I love feels like coming home.”
While this marks Ruah’s directorial debut for the main NCIS series, she previously showcased her directorial prowess with an episode of “NCIS: Los Angeles” a few years back.
Despite earlier speculations about departing the franchise, Mark Harmon, who embodies Leroy Jethro Gibbs, confirmed his return as narrator and producer for “NCIS: Origins.” The series will delve into the formative years of Gibbs, with Harmon’s son, Sean, also stepping into a producing role. Reflecting on their shared connection to the character, Sean expressed his excitement for unveiling new facets of the beloved figure.
With Ruah’s foray into directing and Harmon’s resurgence within the franchise, NCIS enthusiasts have ample reason to eagerly anticipate the forthcoming developments in the coming months.
