On May 1st, NCIS stars Brian Deitzen, Sean Murray, Wilmer Valderrama, and Gary Cole traded in their lab coats for sharp attire as they gathered for a special reunion event. Joined by Rocky Carroll, Diona Reasonover, and Katrina Law, the group attended the CBS Studios FYC Event at Paramount Studios in Los Angeles in anticipation of the 2024 Emmys season.
Brian looked dashing in a white polo shirt paired with chinos, while Diana exuded spring vibes in a lemon-colored blazer and matching shorts. Wilmer and Gary opted for suits, with Gary keeping it casual by skipping the tie. Sean and Rocky kept their attire relaxed with tees under their blazers.
Katrina shone in a sherbet orange dress with an asymmetrical hemline.
Meanwhile, as Season 21 of the long-running show continues to air, a new spin-off, NCIS: Sydney, premiered in November 2023 to positive reception. However, the NCIS universe was met with disappointment in late April when the cancellation of NCIS: Hawaii was confirmed after three seasons.
The decision by CBS to end the show surprised many, given its solid performance. Producers had been willing to negotiate budget cuts and other concessions to keep the show afloat. The season three finale, while not intended as a series finale, reportedly includes a teaser for what could have been.
Lead actress Vanessa Lachey expressed her feelings about the cancellation on Instagram, admitting she felt “gutted, confused, [and] blindsided” by the news. She emphasized her gratitude to fans and her dedication to the cast and crew, reflecting on her time portraying Jane Tennant, the first woman of color to lead an NCIS franchise.
In a poignant Instagram post, Vanessa shared a video of herself sitting on a rock by the ocean, reminiscing about the show’s beginnings and expressing her love and appreciation for her colleagues.
Brian, who plays Dr. Jimmy Palmer in the flagship drama, offered his support, echoing Vanessa’s sentiments and sending love to the entire cast and crew.
Daniela Ruah, known for her role in NCIS: Los Angeles and directing an episode of NCIS: Hawaii, also shared her deep connection to Vanessa’s message, expressing her gratitude for the experience shared with the cast and crew.
