Original NCIS Actors Reunite After Milestone Episode Snub! Click for the Reunion!

Two original members of the NCIS cast, Michael Weatherly and Sasha Alexander, reunite for a special project following their absence from the show’s 1000th episode celebration. As NCIS marked its milestone episode “A Thousand Yards,” which revisited its inaugural case “Yankee White,” it notably lacked the presence of any original cast members in solving the new mystery. However, the show paid homage to its overall legacy by referencing its rich history with Mark Harmon’s Leroy Jethro Gibbs.
Just a week after the Easter egg-filled 1000th episode, Weatherly and Alexander reunited for a heartfelt conversation on Alexander’s Instagram series, Convos and Coffee. During their chat, the duo reminisced about their time on NCIS and their subsequent reunion on Weatherly’s CBS show, Bull.
In the landmark 1000th episode, NCIS revisited its roots by recalling the very first case Gibbs’ team tackled in 2003, involving Weatherly’s DiNozzo and Alexander’s Todd, who was not yet part of the agency at the time but was working with the Secret Service. While fans hoped to see either Todd or DiNozzo in the episode, their absence was explained due to storyline reasons and scheduling conflicts.
Despite their absence, NCIS paid tribute to Weatherly and Alexander’s contributions to the franchise through a special montage at the episode’s conclusion, acknowledging their pivotal roles in the show’s history. While Weatherly’s return to the NCIS universe is confirmed with his upcoming spinoff alongside Cote de Pablo’s Ziva, Alexander’s potential comeback remains uncertain.
