Lucas Black, known for his role in “NCIS,” shines in the new film ‘Unsung Hero,’ where his faith and family take center stage.
The Hollywood success prioritizes his faith and family above all else. “This is a story about faith and family, and that’s important in my life,” Black shared with Fox News Digital. He expressed his excitement about the movie, which chronicles the journey of Christian pop band For King & Country’s Luke and Joel Smallbone’s family as they rebuild their lives in the U.S. “These kinds of stories don’t come around very often, so it was a blessing,” Black added.
Grateful for the opportunity, Black appreciated that the movie was shot in Louisville, Kentucky, close to his home where he resides with his wife and three children. “Being close to home and family in Kentucky made it even more special,” he noted.
In the film, Black portrays Jed Albright, a character he resonates with deeply as a husband and father of faith. “I’m trying to be a man of God, live by faith, and be there for my wife and kids,” he shared. “Jed seems like the person who was the same way, wanting to do good and help the community.”
Reflecting on his own marriage of 14 years to lawyer Maggie O’Brien, Black emphasized the importance of prioritizing their relationship over career ambitions. “She becomes the number one person in my life,” he affirmed, highlighting the significance of communication and keeping Jesus at the center of their marriage.
With a touch of humor, Black acknowledged his imperfections and credited his wife’s grace for enduring his “shenanigans.” “She knows I’m going to mess up, and my wife has to be full of grace,” he quipped, attributing it to the power of God in their relationship.
Overall, Black expressed gratitude for being part of a story that promotes family values and wholesome content, resonating with audiences seeking positivity and inspiration.
