Mariel Molino has been announced as the newest addition to the cast of NCIS: Origins, where she will star opposite Austin Stowell. Set to premiere during the 2024-25 broadcast season on CBS, the prequel series delves into the formative years of Leroy Jethro Gibbs, portrayed by Stowell, with Mark Harmon returning in a narrating role as the older Gibbs.
In the series, Molino takes on the role of Special Agent Lala Dominguez, a former Marine navigating the male-dominated landscape of the 1990s with grit and a dark sense of humor. Her dynamic interactions with the tormented young Gibbs promise to deliver twists and sparks, ensuring audience engagement throughout.
With notable roles in Spanish-language projects like El Juego De Las Llaves and Narcos: Mexico, as well as appearances in TV shows such as Promised Land and The Watchful Eye, Molino brings a wealth of depth and versatility to the NCIS franchise.
