NCIS: Origins Drops Bombshell with Younger Original Character! Click for Casting News!

“Exciting Updates for NCIS: Origins Cast Revealed!
Deadline has uncovered new talent joining the ensemble of NCIS: Origins, the highly anticipated prequel series. Diany Rodriguez, known for her roles in The Blacklist and Twisted Metal, steps into the shoes of a younger Vera Strickland, the former partner of Mike Franks originally portrayed by Muse Watson. Described as a tough and sharp-witted Brooklynite, Vera is poised to tackle any challenge thrown her way.

Also joining the cast is Tyla Abercrumbie, recognized for her work in The Chi and The Chicago Code, as Field Operation Support Officer Mary Jo, an original character created for the series. Mary Jo, nicknamed “HSIC” or Head Secretary in Charge, plays a pivotal role at Camp Pendleton with a talent for uncovering secrets.

These new additions join previously announced cast members including Austin Stowell as young Leroy Jethro Gibbs, with Mark Harmon returning as narrator, and Kyle Schmid as the young Mike Franks. Additionally, Mariel Molino will portray Special Agent Lala Dominguez.

Executive produced by Mark Harmon and his son Sean Harmon, who previously portrayed a young Gibbs in flashback scenes, NCIS: Origins is led by co-showrunners David J. North and Gina Lucita Monreal.

The expansion of the NCIS universe doesn’t stop there, with plans for more spinoffs in the works. Fans can anticipate the return of Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo as Tony DiNozzo and Ziva David in a new series reportedly set in Europe, slated for release on Paramount+.”
