NCIS star Brian Dietzen is gearing up for a thrilling season 21 finale, promising fans an episode that will leave them on the edge of their seats. Following the milestone celebration of the NCIS franchise’s 1,000th episode with a crossover event, the focus now shifts to the upcoming finale titled ‘Reef Madness,’ set to air on May 6.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Dietzen, who portrays chief medical examiner Dr. Jimmy Palmer, teased that the finale will deliver the trademark jaw-dropping moments NCIS is known for. He expressed pride in the team’s work, stating, “As per usual with NCIS, it’s gonna leave a lot of people with their mouths wide open after the credits start to roll. I think everyone’s pretty damn proud of what we put together.”
Despite the season being shortened to 10 episodes due to last year’s acting and writing strike, Dietzen assured fans that there are still significant moments to come leading up to the finale. He praised the writers for delivering compelling storylines, singling out an upcoming episode that showcases Gary Cole’s character Parker in a hilariously entertaining manner.
With the show recently renewed for a 22nd season set to premiere in the fall, fans can expect more NCIS content in the future. Additionally, two new spin-offs are in development: a prequel focusing on Leroy Gibbs, narrated by Mark Harmon, and a contemporary series reuniting Ziva David and Tony DiNozzo.
NCIS airs on CBS in the US, with seasons 1-20 available for streaming on Disney+ in the UK, while season 21 is currently streaming on the platform.
